Garner’s Garage is a community-based makerspace. The name and concept of Garner’s Garage is inspired by the location where Garner carved out the creative space he needed to start his business; the family garage, a place where so many others have established a foundation to pursue their own dreams.
Garner’s Garage is set to open in June 2024 and will serve as the centerpiece of our in-person services, functioning as a community-focused maker space that pays tribute to Garner Holt’s entrepreneurial beginnings in his family garage. This exciting initiative by the Garner Holt Foundation aims to empower and support creative individuals in our community, with a special emphasis on underserved youth.
Fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and cutting-edge projection mapping technology, Garner’s Garage will offer a hands-on learning environment and mentorship in STEAM disciplines. Here, young individuals can explore, create, and refine their skills in a safe and inclusive setting. With the guidance of experienced mentors, participants will embark on a journey of discovery, building confidence and acquiring knowledge for their future endeavors.
