Build Your Own Bob Gurr Special Edition Madame Leota with DIY Light Guy at Garner Holt Productions!

Following our incredibly successful, sold-out May workshop where 53 smiling faces built their own props, Garner Holt has invited Vito Pace, the DIY Lighting Guy back! We are hosting our next hands-on build class on Saturday, September 5th at the” Garner’s Garage” facility located across the street from the legendary Garner Holt Productions factory—the world’s largest animatronics maker, responsible for the incredible animatronic figures in Disney parks worldwide, Universal Studios, and beyond.

This is your chance to build the exact Bob Gurr Special Edition Premium Madame Leota replica piece while supporting an incredible cause. Vito Pace, the famous DIY Light Guy, is only charging for parts; therefore, a large portion of the proceeds goes directly to the Garner Holt Foundation a 501(c)(3), which teaches technical skills to youth, funds scholarships, and brings shop and STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, arts, math) classes back to local high schools.

This will be an action-packed, one-day workshop starting early in the morning and wrapping up at approximately 5:00 PM. To make assembly as simple and safe as possible, no tools are required. Vito is doing all the heavy lifting ahead of time—pre-drilling the custom bases and fully wiring and soldering all components. It is incredibly easy for anyone to assemble, regardless of skill level!

No more struggling to see from the back! Vito will be on an elevated stage with an overhead camera broadcasting live to three large screens, so you won’t miss a single detail.

Upgraded Kit Hardware:
This session features a brand-new, dedicated inline on/off power switch, making battery charging a breeze without needing to unplug any cables.

Food & Refreshments:
Coffee and pastries will be provided in the morning, lunch is included, and snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day to keep your energy up.

Exclusive Event Features:

• The Inspiration Video: During lunch, we will watch a short, deeply inspirational video about Garner’s story and how he started his journey at just 13 years old. (Watching this exact video and taking this tour two years ago is what inspired Vito Pace to follow his dreams and start DIY Light Guy!).
• Special Guests Q&A: Right after the video, Garner Holt and LeAnn Holt will join us in person for an exclusive Q&A and storytelling session.
• Behind-the-Scenes Access: An exclusive backstage studio tour of the animatronics facility is included for everyone!

Because you are building it yourself, the cost for this experience is less than purchasing a fully completed prop.

Early Bird Standard Registration: $950 (through August 10th)
Sign up early and save! This incentive gives us enough time to purchase the custom-made parts and pre-assemble the kits (drilling, soldering, wiring, etc.). We will focus on assembling the prop, gluing down the fairy lights, and styling the hair.

VIP Tour Upgrade: Cost of the standard package +$50 (Limited to the first 30 sign-ups!)
While the standard tour is led by a fantastic Garner Holt Productions employee, the first 30 people to purchase this upgrade will get a priceless VIP tour led by Garner Holt himself!

How to Register

Spaces for this hands-on workshop are extremely limited and expected to sell out fast. Online registration can be completed, below. Secure your spot by choosing your package, add-ons and upgrades and completing payment before we are all sold out.

Important Note for Flying Attendees
If you will be flying in for this event, please let us know when you register. Your kit will need to be prepared differently to handle the trip home through airport baggage claim. Vito will need to bolt the head to the base ahead of time instead of using the Velcro mounting we will be using during the class.

Alternatively, we can arrange to have your finished piece safely shipped to you after the event.
